Auntie Angie's List
Some ideas if you need a pick me up, some of my favorites from the past week or so:
-Songs: 1. Follow the Sun by Xavier Rudd
2. Things you Can't Control by SOJA
3. Keeping Score by High Water
4. Guitar Dreamers station
-Shows: Love on the Spectrum
-Books: All In by Billie Jean King
-Nature: Go for a walk in the trees or buy a plant (coleus is my favorite right now)
-Donate to a charity: Tusonge Ministries (started by Dustin's late Mom and others)
https://www.tusongeministries.org/
-Maui Food Bank: still devastated by wildfires https://mauifoodbank.org/
-Another great resource is my friend Blair. A few years ago, I was having sleep issues and she wrote a blog on that exact subject that so many of us deal with!

-Socializing: Of course my main activity is tennis, both exercise and socialization-good for the brain!
-Writing: write in a journal, write a short story, write a poem, write a song, even start a book. It's amazingly therapeutic!
My book has inspired me to try to help more people with life advice, so I am thinking of doing a website with a lot of links for various subjects, but I thought I would start here. I am also throwing around the idea of being a life coach, which would be a big change and it is scary, but I think I'd like to try it at least. I would still do physical therapy and writing as well.
Those thoughts arose from the Brooke Castillo podcast. I've listened to 250 out of her 500 episodes and she motivates me! I just learned that she is now done with the podcasts, but offering trainings on her website. It is odd because I am now listening to Episode #252 Should I Become a Life Coach? You can listen to it on Youtube or Amazon or wherever you'd like.

I recently bought both of her audiobooks, How to Have a Better Life and What's Possible and I'm excited to read both!
A friend recently started dabbling in life coaching and was telling me about it. I then started thinking that I might be a good fit because I have accomplished a lot of my goals and I could help others accomplish theirs. After listening to the podcast above, I realized I've been coaching myself for years, and I've continued to love self help books, apps, and challenges. I've always been great with time management, juggling 2 sports in college plus the grueling PT classes. I've done 5 Ironman Triathlons, a 50 mile run and a 62 mile "run." I have changed my nutrition plans and workout goals throughout my life, depending upon that stage of life. I have won a few tennis tournaments with my husband, and I most recently published my first book, Pier Luck, about our Navy love story. I'm experienced with goal setting and active listening because of my 25 years as a physical therapist.
I recently listened to Atomic Habits on Audible and I got a LOT out of that too! It has helped me to drink less alcohol and be more productive.
If you've actually made it to the end of this entry, please leave a comment on the FB or IG feed to let me know your thoughts about this post and about my possible life coaching.
