Pier Luck is already a Success!

I've been overly posting on social media about my book release and we had an amazing book launch party and it has me really invigorated to do more! I set my goal pretty high because I want to sell 600 copies of Pier Luck. I haven't told anyone that goal except Dustin, so having it now in writing is a little scary!  It has been a whirlwind of emotions in the last few weeks and I am so thankful for all the support. So far about 70 people have purchased my book. At first I was thinking I just wanted to write this for Dustin and the rest of our family. I didn't really want to "put myself out there" but now I'm glad I did. I'm getting great feedback from readers so far and some people finished it on the first night of reading it! I felt like it was good, but I wasn't sure anyone else would think it was good, so to get that feedback literally made me cry!  My Mom is a little biased, but she is claiming that I have her laughing and crying and reminiscing old times and that she is really enjoying it. That's all I can ask is to have my own mother enjoy it! My older friend Jean was not able to figure out the book reviews on the website, but she said I could post this: "Angie's first book is such a sweet love story. I read it from cover to cover in one sitting til 4:30 AM! It does not disappoint because (spoiler alert) the girl gets the guy or the guy gets the girl. Everyone will enjoy this feel good story."  

Dustin just flew out to guys weekend and although he had read most of the book at one time or another, he had not sit down and read the whole thing. He texted me when he landed and said, "Ang, I just finished the whole book!! I literally did not put it down and was smiling from ear to ear the whole time I was reading it!  It is SOOO GOOOOOOOD! I know I've pretty much read it before (and I know how it ends), and I'm probably biased, but it really is good! Thank you again for writing it. It was so cool to have it in a printed book! I also got my note at the end. I love every day with you too and you always make everything fun as well! Love you and miss you."

I got my Mom's approval and my husband's approval and a few friends, so far so good! I'm anxiously awaiting more people to read it and hear what they think!
