Pier Luck: Almost Ready

As we stared out at the full moon last night, we felt connected to our parents and grandparents as we do each month with the full moon. It's a tradition that started early in our marriage and I'm proud to say it has continued. I am already feeling more connected to friends and family throughout this book writing process and I am learning so much! My husband, Dustin is helping me figure out all the specifics through Bookbaby to self-publishing, so we are learning together and that is so invigorating! We had to submit and resubmit and reconfigure the book cover and back cover. Everything seemed to take longer than expected, but it's finally submitted and we are expecting some books to arrive tomorrow and hope to have to link for all of you soon! I'm nervous and excited and everything in between!

In January 2023, I started this journey, not really knowing anything to be honest!

I listened to a few Journey Sixty 6 podcasts about writing that got me pretty revved up for my journey as an author.

My energy towards the book started off very high, but waxed and waned depending upon other life events like parents health, my physical therapy job, tennis, injuries and health issues, volunteering, planning social events, and travel.

Dustin retired from the Navy, so we decided to do a year of travel, with a trip each month! This definitely cut into my productivity, but maybe provided some fun material for future books!

Being that he retired also has given him more time to help me with everyday things, as well as helping me with my first book, Pier Luck. I am extremely grateful for this because I continuously get flustered with technology when it does not work properly!

I feel extremely grateful for the support and encouragement from family and friends, framily as we call it. One of these friends, Breeann has helped patiently guide us through this process and I am forever indebted to her for the energy she put into our journey. Her website is: https://sciencereasoncalifornia.com/

Dustin and I are both really excited to reconnect with friends and family we have not heard from in awhile through this book. All of our lives get so busy sometimes, we forget to connect. I'm hoping this book will help with that.
