Quarantine after travel Day 12

 We flew to the midwest for Maureen's wedding and also visited Kansas. We stole Lexton on our way back and we have been quarantining since September 15th!  We have 2 more days of torture where we can see the ocean and the mountains but cannot go to them.  I am very thankful for our views and that we are not back in IB in our place with no view, but seeing them makes us want them more!!! And since Lex is our first visitor, we are SO anxious to show her around this beautiful island that we love so much!  She has been doing online school and I've been helping her quite a bit. Dustin has been working from home and overly focused on putting a shower on our boat!  We have been taking personality tests and work and personal value tests, teaching her politics, keeping her active with yard games and walks and we have been playing plenty of games, not just Nerts, but mainly Nerts!!! We have been creative making up other games including the one pictured!  We have been cooking and eating well and I've been doing my elliptical!  My back has been slightly better, but my knee was super flared up after a hilly run we "tried" with Lex on our second or third day. We have been trying to plan out the itinerary for Wednesday through Monday when we are actually allowed out and it is crazy how much we want to try to fit in!  I hope she loves it!!

Pier Luck is already a Success!

I've been overly posting on social media about my book release and we had an amazing book launch party and it has me really invigorated to do more! I set my goal pretty high because I want to sell 600 copies of Pier Luck. I haven't told anyone that goal except Dustin, so having it now in writing is a little scary!  It has been a whirlwind of emotions in the last few weeks and I am so thankful for all the support. So far about 70 people have purchased my book. At first I was thinking I just wanted to write this for Dustin and the rest of our family. I didn't really want to "put myself out there" but now I'm glad I did. I'm getting great feedback from readers so far and some people finished it on the first night of reading it! I felt like it was good, but I wasn't sure anyone else would think it was good, so to get that feedback literally made me cry!  My Mom is a little biased, but she is claiming that I have her laughing and crying and reminiscing old ...
