Keeping it short this week, mainly focused on my last full week of freedom before starting orientation at Bayada Home Health.  I focused on buying plants and plant supplies since I've been wanting to make our deck look homey for over 2 months now.  I got some good deals through Facebook and Oahu Military Buy Sell Trade.  I've (we, sorry Goose, we) have been cooking a LOT more and I even sun dried some tomatoes and froze some lime/cucumber ice for drinks!  Fun!  We also were very interested in buying a used jet boat, a 2007 Seadoo but we got outbid, but we aren't very disappointed because now we are looking at possibly buying a new boat. We aren't sure yet, but we are taking the boaters safety course for Hawaii just in case!  I still can't believe we live here!  We are staying grateful during these times when unemployment is so high and negativity is everywhere!  I definitely miss making new friends and having people over for a BBQ on Memorial Day...
I posted a big sign "HOPE" in bright orange duct tape above our deck so people driving by or running or walking by could see it.  We have "caught" multiple joggers and drivers stopping to take a picture of it and that truly makes me happy.  It's the small things!  I just added "JOY" to another beam and I think I will add "LOVE" and "STRONG" to another.  I do think that HOPE is the most important thing of all through this pandemic and throughout life.  I learned at an early age that if I didn't have something planned in my future that I looked forward to, that I didn't have as much positivity.  So the other night Dustin and I started jotting down things that we want to go to here in Oahu and abroad.  We used to spend a lot of time planning our trips and we have fun doing it along with some wine, which always helps the ideas expand!  Well, of course our list of different hikes here to explore is LONG, but other places that we...
Nothing too intense to report on this week, basically trying to meet my goal of journaling once a week! Yesterday, Dustin surprised me with a virtual zoom with Maryville friends to celebrate our graduation from 20 years ago!  We relived some amazing memories and laughed a lot and caught up so that was truly awesome!  The day before we hosted a Cinco de Mayo party with our San Diego crew and talked forever!  These zooms really are a life saver during this time for sure! We are planning 3 for this Sunday on Mothers Day!  I am hoping to put a video together as well if I can figure out the new program Adobe Rush.  It really is crazy how much mothers sacrifice and we are so thankful we have 3 Moms that love us and support us, who still inspire us with the way they live life!  I am filled with gratitude towards our mothers for sure!
