If anyone would have told me when I was 20 that at age 40, I'd be golfing and playing tennis, reading and drinking coffee, and finally learning to relax, I wouldn't have believed them. Yet, I guess at age 15 if anyone would have told me that I'd do multiple marathons and Ironmans and be a physical therapist and be married to a Navy guy, I would have thought they were crazy!!! Having our niece Lexton out here at 15 really made me think about life, about how the things that make us happy when we are young are not necessarily the things that will continue to make us happy. How different her life is at 15 than ours were. Social media, snapchat, phones in general....wow, they complicate things! I'm so thankful that I grew up when and where I grew up, and with whom I grew up. Things were pretty simple in the middle of nowhere in Missouri and although I would not want to live there again, I am super thankful that I came from there. I am thankful for the friends I had and still have. This is Friends month and I am going to reach out to some of those Viburnum friends right now! Then, tonight we are playing tennis with our new tennis friends! I've been still crushing Friend month!
