This is my last blog of January, so I will report on how well I did on my goals this month! I gave myself a green check for every single day of the month except one, when I did not do my back exercises or get my 10,000 steps in....it happened to be the night of Dustin's ships party, where I allowed myself to have a couple glasses of wine. Other than that night, I allowed myself to have some wine while Kat and Scott were here, but only one of the nights. Not drinking alcohol really hasn't been as hard as I thought. I was hoping that my body would feel better by now, being that my back tends to feel better when I'm hydrated, but I didn't really notice a difference. Of course, we saved money not buying drinks out and also staying in for dinner at home more this month too. I've enjoyed our down time immensely! It's nice to not have something going every night of the week and then 6 different activities on the weekends too! It's nice to just be able to relax for a change! I've been able to put my energy into this Happiness Project a lot more. I've continued to do well with the exercising and I'm still enjoying reading and drinking my coffee in the mornings and I think that will continue. I got my 2 project goals done, of emptying out my unread emails, got my inbox down from 1500 to 3 right now; and I organized my Google Photos Favorites of 2018. The only thing that has suffered this month is my work life; I've been putting off my charting more and more and when I get behind with things, it makes me feel stressed. So I will try to be better about that, but I am always prioritizing time with Dustin and he and I have noticed a difference and an even higher level of strength in our relationship. When I have more energy, I have more energy for our relationship, and that is going to be my February focus: LOVE (mostly applying towards my marriage) will be my focus and doing new and fun things together that don't necessarily cost money!!! I'm looking forward to it!
